Now let me pray to keep you from the perils that will surely come…

If you consider yourself pro-life but are not also pro-child, then you are two faced and a liar.

If you vote for initiatives that make it difficult for a woman to terminate a pregnancy, but also vote against initiatives that would improve education, foster social change, and make health care more widely accessible for all households, you are a part of the problem, not the solution.

If you have fifteen virulent anti-abortion bumper stickers on your card but have never babysat for a young single mother or stood up to give a pregnant woman your seat on a crowded city bus, you’ve wasted your money on those stickers.

If you believe that adoption is always an option but would never adopt a child yourself even if you have the capability to–then you’re offering condemnation, not solutions.

If you do not value children, women and families–ALL children, women, and families, not just your own or those you feel comfortable with–but still believe that abortion and birth control and family life are valid issues for you to participate in the legislation of based on your lofty moral values, then you really don’t have any values at all.

Today’s title quote is from here:

Oh, and one more (unrelated) thing–

If you believe that gay marriage should be illegal based on the idea that marriage is sacred, but you still watch the Bachelor or the Bachelorette on TV–well, then you’re just silly.
